Website
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how this informational website handles technical information about visits and links to booking and other services. It has no visitor forms and does not maintain clinical records.
Who I am and what this policy covers
This website, survive2thrivetherapy.com, belongs to Survive 2 Thrive Therapy Services, my private therapy practice. I am Tina Aggarwal, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (license #112064). In this policy, “I” and “the practice” both mean me and my practice.
This policy covers the public informational pages of this website. Consultation booking takes place through my separately hosted SimplePractice client portal. How I handle client information is explained in my Notice of Privacy Practices, which clients receive at intake and which is also posted on this website.
What the website collects
The public pages have no forms, visitor accounts, sign-up, chat or comment boxes. They do not ask you to submit your name, contact details or health information. The hosting provider receives technical information when you visit, as described below.
I do not sell personal information.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. My website designer, Idea Jar Web Design, builds and maintains the site and manages its hosting account for me.
When your browser requests a page, image or file, Netlify receives technical information such as your IP address, the requested address (including any query string), the date and time, your browser and operating system, and the referring page if your browser provides it. This information is used to deliver the website, keep it secure and troubleshoot problems. Request logs can contain information that identifies a visitor; having no visitor forms does not prevent this logging.
My website designer can access recent request records, including IP addresses, through Netlify’s dashboard to troubleshoot problems. Neither of us uses them to identify visitors. Netlify Web Analytics is not enabled for this site, and log drains, which export logs to another service, are not in use.
Netlify retains request records under its applicable service terms and retention practices. For information about its handling of data, see Netlify’s privacy statement and its Data Processing Agreement, which addresses processing on customers’ behalf.
Other services
Services your browser contacts
The public pages load their fonts, images and code from this website’s own host. They do not embed outside services.
The editing area at /admin/ is intended for me and my website designer. Opening it loads software from outside services and saves display settings in your browser. The public-page descriptions in this policy do not cover that editing area.
Services the website links to
Some links take you to other websites or services. Their privacy policies explain their handling of information on their platforms. My practice remains responsible for its own handling of information it receives.
- SimplePractice hosts my client portal. The “Book a Consultation” buttons lead there. Information submitted there is not collected through this informational website. For SimplePractice’s handling of information through its platform, see its Client Portal Privacy Policy. My practice’s handling of client information is described separately in my Notice of Privacy Practices.
- Square hosts the checkout linked by the “Register & Pay” buttons for Beyond Survival, my professional consultation group for clinicians. Information submitted at checkout is handled on Square’s platform, not through this website. See Square’s privacy notice for customers.
- Email and phone. The email and phone links open your own email or phone app. Email you send me is delivered by my email provider, Hushmail, not through this website. See Hushmail’s privacy policy. Ordinary email is not always a private way to share health details, so please keep sensitive information for when we speak.
- Other sites. The website also links to Idea Jar Web Design, which built it, and to Unsplash, credited for the homepage photograph.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
The public informational pages do not set cookies or use local or session storage. Your browser may cache website files as part of loading the pages.
Analytics and third-party tracking. These pages do not use analytics, advertising pixels, social media tracking or session-recording tools. I do not enable third-party tools on these pages to track visitors across websites or over time. The hosting request records described above are separate from those tools.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. The public pages work the same way whether or not your browser sends these signals: no analytics or advertising trackers are loaded in either case. The signals do not stop the technical requests needed to deliver the website.
Changes to tracking. Before adding analytics or other tracking tools, I will update this policy to describe the information collected, the services involved and your choices, and provide any notices or controls required by applicable law.
Children
This website is meant for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it.
Privacy questions and requests
You can contact me to ask about personal information associated with your website visit or direct contact with the practice, including requests to access, correct or delete it. Technical request records may be held by the hosting provider even though the website has no visitor accounts.
I will consider requests under applicable law and any record-retention obligations. I may need to verify your identity to respond. Requests about clinical records are handled separately under your rights as a client, as described in my Notice of Privacy Practices.
Health information
This informational website is not a patient portal and does not maintain clinical records. Client records are kept separately. They are governed by HIPAA and California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, and my Notice of Privacy Practices explains how I use and protect them and what your rights are.
Security
The website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and it has nothing for visitors to sign in to. I use reasonable measures to protect it, but no website, email system, hosting platform or internet transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change affects what the website collects, such as adding analytics, the updated policy will be posted before the change takes effect.
